Review of White Noise (2005) by Jennifer F — 29 Dec 2009
Not necessarily good, but creepy to watch alone at night in the dark, and even creepier to hear.
The story is a bit dry. You don't find out why this girl jumped off this building. You don't find out who these three shadows were and the suspense factor of the movie flatlines the whole way through. It is not what you expect.
Michael Keatons acting is bland and he comes across a woman that looks identically like his wife and he isn't even surprised about this. Plus, Michael Keaton seems way to old to have a child that young. It is a poor performance for a great actor Michael Keaton.
However, the movie is unpredictable and unique. It is possibly the first movie about EVP and there aren't many more of them. The movie kept me engaged, scared me at some times and the ending was surprisingly good.
I don't think it's that good, but I recommend it to any horror film lover because there is literally no film like it.
