Claire Denis is a fearless filmmaker...this, like a few others of hers, was a difficult movie to watch for many reasons, but somehow I always return to her work. Isabelle Huppert is as glorious as ever.
This was the first French role I've seen Christopher (aka Christophe) Lambert in...never knew he was Swiss-educated. I would recommend this movie, but let yourself take your time with it.
