Review of White Irish Drinkers (2011) by Evan W — 26 Mar 2011
Honestly, this is coming from a constant movie goer and someone who acts as well. I just don't understand how you can give this film a bad review. I really don't. You can sit there and be a film critic and nitpick everything about this movie and I still don't see how this can NOT move you as a person.
This is a story about facing the hardships in your life and making the decisions that lead you to a better life. It's just incredible. I sat there in the theater and watched this movie not as a critic trying to make a name for himself, or a stuck up film kid who thinks everything is wrong, I sat there and watched this person as a human being with feelings.
I cried. I felt so close to these characters that when they felt pain... I did. It was amazing. I don't think I've felt this way about a film in a very long time. If you have ever had a dream that you wanted to reach, go see this.
It will make you want to be a better person. Seriously, take this for what it's worth. I'm a normal guy who loves going to the movies... and I LOVED this film. I give it 5 stars because of the way it made me feel after I left.
Go see it and get inspired.
