Review of White House Down (2013) by Matt L — 28 Oct 2014
I like to think that when a writer decides to do his/her own take on an idea or concept that has been down numerous times before, they feel they have something unique or untold to bring to light.
Nope.
Tatum isn't a surprising choice as a wise-cracking action star. Foxx is an interesting choice as an action-packed president - and even more interesting is why he projected the character so introvertedly. His character is the most disappointing part of the movie. Even worse than the lack of a truly detestable villain.
Considering it's "just an action flick", it was pretty boring. Considering the level of featured stars, it was pretty cliched.
