Review of White House Down (2013) by Daniel V — 26 Jul 2015
Well, that was unpredictable. I did not expect to like this that much but for some reason, I REALLY liked it. The acting wasn't all that great, the action was really weirdly edited but the story hooked me in and didn't let me go.
This had no reason to be good so just for that, it is great. Channing Tatum is not the greatest actor, or even all that good, but here he is actually quite believable (except for when he's getting shot at) and Jamie Foxx is very good as always.
The action is at a high pace when it starts, but I don't know if it's just me but a lot of it seems like it's off screen. There wasn't much to gripe about like I thought there would be and this was actually very enjoyable so I would have to RECOMMEND this despite the horrible reviews from critics and other people.
