Review of White House Down (2013) by Veer G — 27 Jul 2014
Fun action flick, but couldn't help but notice the hollywood liberal slant (why am I not surprised):
Jamie Foxx: Cool young AA president hero (Obviously Obama).
Michael Murphy (who?): VP, promoted to president for a few minutes before martyrdom (Biden).
A bunch of white, American, militia type terrorists (Obviously Tea Partiers).
Richard Jenkins: Evil speaker of the house that turns out to be the mastermind bad guy (Obiously John Boener).
The only way they could have made it any more obvious that their art was imitating the liberal view of life would be to have had a bungling former president that they could blame for having left the back door unlocked or something!
But otherwise, it was entertaining. Tatum is always likeable, funny and good action.
