Review of White Heat (1949) by Billy — 14 Sep 2008
Cagney's most enduring character in my mind is without a doubt Cody Jarret. Take away this movie and you have no Pesci, no 'Paulie Walnuts' on the Sopranos. Cagney plays the crazy (in a crazy kinda way) tough crook better than anyone before or since.
