Review of White God (2014) by Gina W — 21 Oct 2015
If dogs were given academy awards, Hagen would most certainly win that category. When I started watching this Swedish film, I thought it was a story about a girl and her dog, but by the end, I realized that it was a horror movie.
I was revolted but couldn't stop watching. There is cruelty: dog fighting (remember Michael Vick) and abuse, and tenderness. The young actress, Zsófia Psotta, was the perfect cast for the part. I don't think I can recommend it, but it sure made an impression on me.
