Review of White Chicks (2004) by Patrick M — 01 Dec 2013
The title isn't even good. A goofy awful movie about black FBI agents posing as spoiled teenage white girls. Not only is it not funny, it couldn't even afford any good actors and some may call it racist. Some meaning most people.
Marcus and Kevin are two bumbling FBI agents who pose as the spoiled teenage twins the Wilson sisters in order to delve into a murder case. From there, jokes that don't work and scenes that aren't important to the story ensue. All you focus on is that they're guys doing girl things. It's not funny.
A film featuring the Wayans wouldn't seem to be a chick flick, but this one is more of a chick flick than a comedy. The scenes didn't interest me and the jokes didn't work. I think maybe just one thing that worked at times was Terry Crews' character. I find Crews to be hilarious no matter how bad of a film he's in, but even some of his lines as a womanizing entrepreneur athlete wasn't funny, either. Skip it and save yourself now. If you've embraced this film already, I know you've experienced the danger as well.
