This movie was not the movie portrayed in the trailer. In fact, the funniest scene from the trailor wasn't even in the movie: 'this is white boy Rick. He white'. The movie is based on a true story and I think the filmmakers were lazy in explaining why things happened and relied on 'it's a true story' as an excuse for poor writing.
McConaughey was really good but this movie is very skipable.
