There is a great story behind White Boy Rick--the story of the FBI's use of a teenage informant, dirty Detroit cops, a corrupt mayor and excessive sentences for non-violent crimes. Unfortunately, the movie focuses more on the relationships between a low-life single father and his kids, which is a much less compelling story.
