Review of White Bird in a Blizzard (2014) by Alistair L — 18 Oct 2014
One day Kat Connors (Shailene Woodley)'s very unhinged mother Eve (Eva Green) just ups and vanishes - she's not particularly missed, but Kat is unsettled to the point of having recurring dreams - she is the white bird lost in a blizzard? It's independent cinema but with a few hollywood names thrown in.
It works best in Teenage angst mode - with some great tracks from the early eighties, the adult characters get fairly clunky dialogue. Too little happens to fully enjoy - although the reveal for Eve's disappearance is fun.
