Review of White Bird in a Blizzard (2014) by Tatsuhito K — 06 Mar 2015
My first time watching Gregg Araki's movie and I liked it a lot. It does depend heavily on Shailene Woodley's performance, but I thought it was a well-executed movie. White Bird in a Blizzard is a mixture of suburban thriller and sexual awakening drama.
The performances are solid, the visuals and the story are intriguing. It may not have profound messages or whatsoever, but it's nicely done and appropriately dark and twisted.
