Dreamlike and extremely engrossing, this film stayed with me for some time. The numerous layers of the story draw together to tell both a mystery and a coming of age tale which is nicely balanced. Woodley is terrific here and she is surrounded by a great supporting cast (including the wonderful Sheryl Lee in a small role).
The visuals are gorgeous and the soundtrack plays an integral role, evoking the 80's period but also the dreamy nature of the film. Highly recommended....
