Review of Whistle Down the Wind (1961) by Farrah J — 15 Jun 2007
He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy! OK, wrong film but the premise behind this beautiful Sunday matinee is that 'Jesus' (escaped covict Alan Bates to me and you) is hiding in a barn and the local kids are looking after him, thinking that he is the Son of God.
This made me cry every time I watched this in my childhood. An oldie, but a goldie, hope it's innocence prevails so that my own kids will be able to watch it and cry, haha.
