Review of Whisky (2004) by Marcin W — 13 Sep 2010
One of these days someone is going to create a parody of this type of film. Despite good acting, good camera angles, and good writing, this genre is boring. I feel like I've seen a dozen blah movies of this type already - two people who haven't seen each other in years because of an irrelevant geographical separation come together for a meeting originally for a purpose of similar irrelevance and maybe achieve a greater understanding and relationship.
..yawn. I can relate to the experience - everyone can - and it's almost as boring when it happens to people who don't make movies. I mean, if you're not going to have a unique camera style or use special effects or have entertaining dialog, you could at least tell a story we all haven't heard before.
