Review of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (2016) by Kurt N — 18 Mar 2016
The story may be all over the place and its worldview is rather skewed, but there is never a single boring moment in Tina Fey's Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Its mix of dark humor and the sense of dread works so well, and Fey, skillfully walking on the thin line between comedy and drama, takes a big step forward as a dramatic actress.
Hats off to the directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, and a big shoutout to writer Robert Carlock for his intelligent and ferociously funny script. Don't be fooled by its confusing title. This is pretty damn good.
