A drama that succeeds at being more thrilling than most "thrillers". Whiplash is a masterpiece of a movie that shows the insecurity, and determining drive of Andrew Neyman, and the psychotic nature of his teacher Terence Fletcher.
You feel, and understand the motives of these characters, making the movie much more enthralling.
