Review of Whiplash (2014) by Colleen C — 03 Aug 2015
Miles Teller somehow makes nerdy sweat irresistibly attractive. He portrays his character's passion for music wonderfully and without resistance. J.K. Simmons somehow manages to make me forget his StateFarm commercials in this dynamic performance.
This movie is definitely worth a watch but is far more character driven rather than story based. Also you get some groovy jazz tune. (And they say names that you can repeat in conversation to make it sound like you actually listen to jazz and convince everyone you're cool).
