Holy shit. It's been too long since I loved a movie as much as Whiplash. The last movie I loved this much was Steve Jobs. And I don't know if it's coincidental or indicative of my tastes that both movies are essentially exposes on that kind of toxic white sociopathy that masquerades as authoritarian drive or passion.
Maybe I'm repressing something.
