Definitely a huge step forward for J.K. Simmons and Miles Teller, Whiplash is the reality that is in the music business. It shows the difficulty of the perseverance of a jazz student who wants to be one of the greats in the jazz business.
What this movie shows is non-cliched elements that most films never show. It shows the power of determination, and everything about this movie is incredible.
