Review of Whiplash (2014) by Jeje W — 09 Feb 2017
Whiplash is my favorite movie of 2014. Like it says on the poster, the movie is astounding and that is something I really did not expect from this movie. The acting is fantastic, especially from J.K. Simmons who is a freaking asshole in this movie and he is so convincing.
Miles Teller is also great. He does a great job as Andrew Neiman. The pacing is very good. There isn't a single moment where I felt bored. The screenplay is absolutely incredible and the movie looks gorgeous.
And with Damien Chazelle's other movie, La La Land, being absolutely amazing, I can say that he is going to be one of the greats. Whiplash gets a 10/10.
