Fantastic movie. Stellar cast, great story, superb direction. If you are scared to see this movie because you love JK Simmons, as long as you love music or top notch movies, you should enjoy it. Since it's Damien Chazelle, it's all about the music.
The last 10-15 minutes of the movie are taken up by one tune, called caravan. It's a lot to handle at times, especially in the scenes where Andrew's hands bleed from playing so much or the car crash scene.
However, it is worth it. Unless you don't like movies about working hard to achieve your goal with bumps in the road. Then watch grandma's boy or something, but don't be saying this masterpiece is bad.
