Review of Whiplash (2014) by Tyler K — 18 May 2017
This movie will forever change my life. I will never look at movies or teachers the same way. This movie shows how impactful a teacher can be on a persons life with incredible acting, an unbelievable script, and a great director.
After seeing this movie my mind went straight to the movie "Foxcatcher." I loved Foxcatcher, and like whiplash it is about the impact an adult has on a young persons life. In Foxcatcher there is a line "Coach has great power on an athletes life.
" This is a pretty good line, but it's telling us the point of the story and not showing it so much. Whiplash is 1:45 perfectly crafted masterpiece that shows us a moral that everyone can relate to.
