Review of Whiplash (2014) by M S — 05 Jul 2015
This is a very well acted movie about personal motivation and human frailty.
However, it is not a Scorsese movie. It is not a war movie. It is not a crime movie. It is not a Showtime or HBO movie either. By this I allude to the excessive use of the F word.
The F word does not a movie make and often detracts from an otherwise great movie. Such is the case with Whiplash. Perhaps scriptwriters no not have an overwhelming vocabulary to express themselves appropriately?
Nonetheless, Whiplash is a movie worth watching.
