Review of Whip It (2009) by Teddy B — 23 Dec 2010
This is a strong directorial debut by Drew Barrymore combing coming of age drama and sports movie flirting with all those genresâ(TM) clichà (C)s. Itâ(TM)s a fun filled, action packed and emotional film with a believable story, seems real at all times.
It has several notable actors and actresses giving a solid performance. Ellen Page with her innocent face is fantastic in this role, perfectly capturing the rebellious, curious character of Bliss Cavendar.
This is not only a chick-flick, itâ(TM)s dude friendly - a solid movie with enjoyable memories a pleasant surprise.
