Review of While You Were Sleeping (2010) by Caiti S — 22 May 2011
It's a cute rom-com, but as with all rom-coms, the story is very very predictable. I loved the originality of the story idea and casting Sandra Bullock as the leaad was the only option to make this movie sky-rocket.
Sandra Bullock is the queen of rom-coms and her performance was romantic and quirky. I also loved the chemistry and constant bantering in Peter's family, everyone brought something new to the table and we hilarious in their delivery.
I loved the wedding scene where it went from bliss to chaos. My favourite aspect of the movie occured right at the end after Jack and Lucy got married (which I'm sorry I spoiled it, but it's so obvious that's what is going to happen) and Lucy talks about how Peter asked her when Jack and her fell in love.
She responded "it happened 'While You Were Sleeping'" This is movie is a great addition to any rainy-day movie marathon list!
