Review of While You Were Sleeping (1995) by Neil C — 09 Oct 2009
A rom-com with Sandra Bullock is always welcome. A nice story and lovable casts. She is a ticket seller, sitting inside a booth and everyday she sees Peter Gallagher, her dream guy. One day while working on Christmas, as usual she sees him.
But he was mugged and fell onto the train tracks. She jump down and saved him from the on-coming train. At the hospital, a nurse misunderstood her as the fiance of him and let her into his ward. His family came and upon hearing from the nurse, also take her as the fiance.
Jack Warden overheard her confessing the next day but told her to continue to keep it a secret so as to let the family go through the ordeal better. Sandra slowly embrace their warmth and love. Bill Pullman is his brother and slowly he and she starts to have feelings.
When Peter awakes, he actually remembers everything and everyone off course except Sandra. Docs said its amnesia. He also believes so and was about to marry her. On the actual day, she reveal the truth and confess to like Bill then left.
The next day at work, the whole family turns up at her booth and Bill propose to her. They got married. Happy ending.
