Review of While We're Young (2015) by Ricky L — 05 Jul 2015
The film is, as the synopsis concludes, poignant. It's well-acted, well-directed, and more than sufficiently engaging. But its very poignancy relies on the rejection of idealism, a theme that I find difficult to embrace, regardless of my respect for realism and where it falls into the progression of business and entertainment.
Sometimes you just want the purist to win, and sometimes he does...but sometimes he doesn't win quite as much as you which he did.
