I felt very frustrated watching this movie. It really couldn't decide if it wanted to be a light, funny comedy or a more serious thinkpiece and so the setup of its storyline and effectiveness of its scenes got lost somewhere in the terrible no-man's land in between.
On the one hand, it tries to be clever, but it really doesn't have us any eye-opening opinions or social commentary. In fact, the ending is so stupid, I wanted to throw something at the TV. Stiller kept me invested by demonstrating his range as an actor.
