Billed as a comedy...I don't think anybody knows what a comedy is, anymore. A very unsatisfying film, and definitely not a comedy, though it has inadvertently funny moments. Ben Stiller keeps making these "artsy" wannabe-Woody Allen films. Meh. There are elements which spark, and then the film ignores what does work to pursue painful realities of 40-something generational.
angst, and 20-something lack of ethics and direction. Would've succeeded if they stuck to the humorous contrasts between generations, instead of trying to make a statement.
