Review of While the Children Sleep (2007) by Amanda T — 23 Jun 2008
There's not much much to say about this movie. It was bad and annoying and some of the people she killed needed to be killed. Plus, the story didn't make much sense. An abused young girl somehow falls in love with the man who prosecuted her mother (I think) and then grows up, becomes nanny to his children and then kills his nosy neighbor, lecherous coworker, his wife's friend and then attempts to kill his wife and take over the family.
How lame is that? It wanted to be more than just a shitty TV movie, but ended up turning into worse than a TV movie (you know what I mean). In a suspicion/drama/murder movie such as this movie (I think) was trying to be, the characters need to be suspicious for more than three seconds before the final confrontation.
And the confrontation was really lame. And who calls a live-in nanny a sitter anyway? A sitter is a teenage girl who drops by on a Friday night, not a full time, live-in woman paid for child care.
