Review of While She Was Out (2008) by Jordon J — 23 Apr 2009
Kim Bassinger's character was wickedly determined to survive in this flick and she proved that she would do anything to stay alive. This film is much more than a lone-woman-against-them, though. It is more about the events leading up to the point where she snaps and realises that she's got to fight to live.
Granted, there is a ton a the cliche' run-and-fall routine and the moments where Kim's character (Della) finally fights back were much more subdued than I anticipated... but still I find myself actually liking this thriller.
(I didn't care much for the conclusion... saw that coming pretty much early on... but can't say that I don't understand) This movie was all Kim and Lukas Haas offered a tastily dimented diversion.
