Review of While She Was Out (2008) by Bill N — 14 Jun 2009
So abused wife goes to the mall on christmas eve to buy her kid a wii, yeah sounds likes a fool's errands already. So after she leaves the mall empty handed she gets harrassed and eventually chased by a group of amazingly well racially represented thugs. Car chase and hunt in the woods ensue.
I usually love Kim Basinger, but she is horrible in this along with the rest of the group. I think the security guard directing the mall traffic was probably the best. The thugs were just horrifically stupid and pathetic.
It was suppose to be a story where this abused woman fights through the heart of darkness and comes out a new woman with a strength to change her life. The whole journey was just boring and poorly written. It just seemed so loose, like the scenes were slapped together. This really could have been a decent movie with some good tweaking, less talk and more suspense. oh the dvd cover art I have actually looks really nice, black and white picture of her in a grey hoodie holding a bright red toolbox with the thugs lined up in the back ground. Has a nice red riding hood feel.
