Review of Where to Invade Next (2015) by Vangoat — 12 May 2016
I have to admit I usually find Moore's movies a bit too biased. I prefer my documentaries to present and let me decide, but often his are heavy handed. Even when I agree with his stance, they feel force-fed.
This one though felt different. It was much better than I expected, he hit a lot of different points, and it all came back to how we Americans have let go of some our fundamental ideals, that were ours originally, but have now been forgotten.
Is it still critical? of course, it should be in today's political climate, most importantly though it's hopeful...I think what summed it up was the idea that we have lost sight of what it is to be neighborly.
..to care for those around us as much as we care for ourselves.
