Review of Where to Invade Next (2015) by Dan L — 23 Apr 2016
A crazy little movie about Europe's differences from America. Schools, prisons, police, guns, infrastructure, etc. It's very well done and captures some very interesting moments and stark comparisons.
The "invasion" idea cute but distracting. The interviews come from all over -- Norway, Slovenia, France, Germany, Iceland, even Tunisia -- proposing solutions to America's problems small and large.
He makes some very strong points about healthy school lunches, rehabilitation in prison, free college tuition, women's rights, paid vacation and family leave. I'm not a huge fan of Michael Moore's usual bombastic style, yet I'm a pretty big fan of this movie!
