Review of Where the Wild Things Are (2009) by Markus S — 22 Mar 2012
What I thought when I first finished the film is what a waste of an hour and a half. This movie did nothing to bring me back to my childhood imagining of this story. Many times during the film in which the boy and the monsters are just horsing around, not dialogue whatsoever.
You are literally just watching them jump on things. The animation and costume design and scenery are the only reasons I didn't give it a lower rating.
