Okay, I am readying for the unpopular opinion flame, butâ¦.I did not like âWhere The Wild Things Areâ?. I just, I got to the end, and I didnâ(TM)t feel anything emotional. I wasnâ(TM)t upset, I wasnâ(TM)t heartbroken, I didnâ(TM)t even feel the slightest feeling of tears. If anything, I was annoyed at the end, to be honest.

I thought the island with The Wild Things was beautiful looking, the animatronics and puppetry used within the film was very well made, and edited in seamlessly to the scenes, as did the use of CGI. The voice acting was very good, Chris Cooper and Lauren Ambrose particular favourites, each voice over had a good range of emotion which helped the film.

The lead actor, Max Records, he was much better then I expected, I thought he displayed good range of anger and sadness, and he probably has a good future in film ahead of him. However, his actual character, Max, was a dick, plain and simple. At no point did I like his character, and even when he was supposed to at the end have changed, I didnâ(TM)t feel it, Yes he had âlearnt his lessonâ?, but when he returns home he is awarded with ice cream, if this was real life, heâ(TM)d have gotten his ass handed to him!

The look of the film was wonderful, the story, not so brilliant, I just didnâ(TM)t feel any emotional connection, and it left me disappointed.
