Review of Where the Wild Things Are (2009) by Ol R — 23 May 2012
I hope Maurice Sendak was proud of the film he helped produce. Very indie-style filmmaking with incredible style and visuals, but also extremely dark and actually quite depressing, I'd actually hesitate showing this to kids.
I remember loving the book when I was a kid, and so now that I'm older I find that the film is a perfect companion piece, especially given the time that has passed between the two.
