Maybe my expectations for the film version of one of my favorite children's books was a little too high. When I heard Spike Jonze was going to direct, I thought it was a perfect choice, but the movie is SO much darker and dreary than I expected.
The special effects with the Wild Things were great, but overall, I felt a little let down even though I enjoyed it.
