Review of Where the Wild Things Are (2009) by Chaz J — 26 Mar 2015
A sweeping score and striking visuals make for a spectacular reflection of the tumult and wonder of being a real kid (something typically lost on other animated films). Jonze once again proves to be an engrossing world-builder, however, despite the gorgeous imagery it is in the character driven moments that we see the expanse of the world implied.
