Review of Where the Wild Things Are (1975) by Tori H — 16 Jan 2012
The biggest challenge, I think, was getting such a thin children's storybook - a beloved one, at that - and making a feature-length movie out of it. While the film looks great visually, the story seemed almost devoid of any emotion.
Although there are some warm moments, there's just not much to like about this one. There's some real confusion as to who exactly this film was catering to.
