Review of Where the Truth Lies (1999) by Jude D — 27 Nov 2007
This is my favourite of Atom Egoyan's films so far because it's the most accessible and enjoyable. A very good psuedo film noir murder mystery with fine performances by Kevin Bacon, Colin Firth and Alison Lohman.
It captures the essence of the time period(s) very well and keeps you guessing for a while, although I do think the Collins & Morris comedy team schtick was very weak. Worth renting!
