The first time I saw this movie, I was expecting it to be boring, as a friend of mine and I were going to the movies and this seemed to be the best of a bad lot... I was, however, VERY pleasantly surprised!!! It is an extremely sweet, off-beat love story - not your usual 'hollywood flick' which makes for a nice change.
Ever since the first time I saw it (back in 2000), it has been one of my favourite movies and after reading the book by Billie Letts - I've come to love it even more!
