Review of Where the Heart Is (2000) by Clint D — 08 Mar 2011
Never read the novel but can't imagine it laid the cheese on any thicker than the film did. Portman, Judd, and Channing carry the film but I wish it had been more about women being strong and less about them looking for more men to support/hurt them.
There is some sweetness in this movie, but not much, and the main characters are almost too dumb to help themselves.
