Certainly better when you are like stimulated I still believe this kicks 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' (the later re-make) and better reflects the potential fun and mania than the latter. Although I will say Depp's portrayal was perhaps more loyal and accurate (more mumbling and twitching) it just didn't convey for me the fun he must have had (Bill for me did).

For those who like Bill's earlier work and want to see proof of his acting chops I urge you to rent/buy "Razor's Edge.".
