Don't get me wrong, I liked this movie. From what I hear, Murray was a better a Thompson than Depp. That is totally believable. My only problem with this movie was that it wasn't as...twisted, per se, as his books.
It was like a straight semi-biopic, with a third person view, as opposed to a drug-influenced world, such as Fear and Loathing. To me, it sort of missed the mark...but only by a bit, because I still found it enjoyable.
