Review of Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) by Vince U — 04 Dec 2007
When I first heard of this film, I was not only familiar with Hunter Thompson, but with Gilliam's masterful adaptation Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and to say the least; I was skeptical of Murray and this (on the surface) seemingly campy approach.
How great it is to be wrong. It was a great film and Murray proves himself once again as a brilliant actor. This is certainly a bit more accessible than Fear and Loathing and therefor some of Thompson's message is made easier for the mainstream audience to digest.
