Review of Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) by Paul C — 03 Dec 2009
Enjoyable enough romp through the good doctor's glory years. Murray and Boyle are fine but the direction is bland and the storyline a hodge-podge to say the least. It doesn't capture the raw outraged righteousness of HST's writing/personality at all and portrays him more as an affable loon which he was, probably, but he was also much, much more than just that. And the 70's music during the 60's scenes - incongruous as fuck.
Still, it is a bit of fun and an agreeable way to spend 99 minutes.
