Review of Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) by Martin W — 10 Jul 2009
Bill Murray and Peter Boyle are both miscast as Hunter S. Thompson and Laszlo, respectivally, but still this movie seems to show just what a wild ride the two had during the late 1960's and 1970's, pissing off strict judges, destroying hotel rooms, skipping out on a Super Bowl gig, being shot at by feds and being a thorn in the Nixon administration.
Murray sure sounds a lot like Thompson but Johnny Depp did a better job. Only true Thompson fans will like this movie. Everyone else will probably get bored or don't see what is going on.
